Walk to Mary

Yooper Catholic young adults (20s-30s) are invited to join Father Ryan Ford on pilgrimage to Green Bay for the 12th annual Walk to Mary! This 22-mile walk begins at Old St. Joseph church on the campus of St. Norbert college and ends at the National Shrine of Our Lady of Champion, the only church-approved Marian apparition in the United States.
Schedule

The schedule below is for our young adult pilgrimage. If you have children you want to bring, there is a 1.5 mile walk for families at the Champion Shrine, or kids can walk the whole route or be pushed in strollers. There's a bus to pick up people who are tired after the lunch stop and bring them straight to the Shrine. If you want to come with children, please send an email to Fr. Ryan Ford: [email protected] instead of registering below so we can arrange separate accommodations.

Friday, May 2nd (all times central)
Carpool:
5:30pm: Meet at Resurrection parish, Menominee
5:45pm: Depart Resurrection parish
6:45pm: Arrive to Green Bay parish (TBD) to spend the night in parish hall
Or drive yourself:
Arrive any time after 6:45pm to Green Bay parish (TBD)
7:15pm-8:30pm: Dinner available at the parish
8:00pm: Prayer, games, hang out at parish
Sleep!

Saturday, May 3rd (all times central)
5:15am: Wake up
5:45am: Depart parish for Humana parking lot
6:15am: Catch shuttle to St. Joseph shrine at St. Norbert college
7:00am: Opening prayer service at St. Joseph shrine
7:15am: Walk begins! (2.5 miles per hour walk speed)
12:15pm: Lunch at Holy Cross parish (Bus available to transport directly to Shrine if tired)
3:30pm: Mass at National Shrine of Our Lady of Champion
5:00pm: Bus back to Humana parking lot
6:00pm: Get take-out dinner and check in at Tundra Lodge
7:00pm: Enjoy water park

Sunday, May 4th
Check out of Tundra Lodge by 11:00am.
Free to spend more time at water park or depart back to U.P.

In the meantime, you need to register for the Walk to Mary itself on their website and pay the $25 registration fee, which includes lunch.
